Welcome to the Constructing Excellence Northampton Club

On Tuesday 23 November 2004, 15:30hrs at Northamptonshire County Council Chambers, the Constructing Excellence Northamptonshire Club was launched (see East Midlands page and press release above right for full details). It provides access to a national network for improving construction performance locally.

Constructing Excellence (CE), a dti supported programme, aims to achieve a step change in construction output and service by tackling the weaker areas in the sector and promoting the business case for continuous improvement. Through focused programmes in Innovation, Best Practice Knowledge, Productivity and Engagement, CE has a developed strategy to deliver the process, product and cultural improvement needed to effect this change. Locally, the Construction Industry engages with change through Constructing Excellence Clubs.

Constructing Excellence Clubs are run by a national network of committed individuals that care passionately about improving the performance of the industry. A Club is a forum for individuals to learn about the principles of Best Practice, while creating a culture and local support network of continuous improvement. It offers the opportunity for an informal group of forward thinking, innovative people to learn from each other, share that knowledge and ultimately improve their business bottom-line.

Anyone who is in the construction industry can be a part of the Club - from the client or owner of a building to the design team, main and specialist contractors, house builders and materials manufacturers and suppliers. The only pre-requisite is to be committed to improving your performance.
